The Form the Advert Takes

Realist Narrative

Anti - realist Narrative
An anti-realist advert has a story behind the advert, it is fictional. It isn't day to day behavior like realist narrative adverts.

Animation
It is an animated production, almost anything is possible. Although there are voice overs, there are no actual actors in the advert.

Documentary
This type of adverts usually use scientific facts about the product to help persuade the viewer that it should be trusted.

Talking Heads
Talking heads is where the people in the advert talk directly to the camera. Viewers will feel as if the actors are talking directly to them, having a conversation and will more than likely trust these kind of adverts.

Stand Alone
The purpose for a stand alone form of advert is to make a one - off advert that catches the viewers eye and makes them remember it, this connects them with the product / brand.

Series
A series of connected adverts helps get the message out to viewers for a long period of time. The viewers will forget about the product / brand and start to remember whats happening in the series, although the message is still getting through.

The Style of the Advert

Humorous
Humorous adverts keep the viewer watching till the end, makes them laugh so then they share the experiense with other people.

Surreal
Although his advert was filmed in real life, this is an example of a surreal advertisement simply because it is impossible. The viewers will question what is going on in the adverts and make them think about the creativity and mystery within the product / brand.

Dramatic
Dramatic adverts are designed to put across an overall point. This style of advert is designed to shock the viewer so the advert will stick with them.

Parodic
These style of adverts make fun of themselves or narratives, they make the viewer feel at ease and draws them in by having something unusual yet funny to watch.
